About the director of the ensemble:
Bassoonist
TERRI ILIOFF FENLON is Principal Bassoonist with the Maryland Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition, Ms. Fenlon has performed with
the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Concert Artists of Baltimore,
National Chamber Orchestra, as well as Annapolis, Fairfax, and
Maryland Symphony Orchestras. Ms. Fenlon has performed as guest bassoonist
for a midwest United States concert tour
with the United States Air Force Band of Washington, DC.
Terri Fenlon was formerly a member with the United States Navy Atlantic
Fleet Band. Ms. Fenlon received the degree of Bachelor
of Music from Towson University, where she studied with Dr. H.
Gene Griswold and received a Graduate Performance Diploma and
Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music,
where she studied with Linda Harwell. Other teachers have included
Truman Harris and Kim Peoria. Ms. Fenlon has an accomplished
private bassoon studio and is an applied music faculty member
of Essex Community College, Harford Community College, University of Maryland
Baltimore County, and music faculty of Towson University. Many
of Ms. Fenlon's students are members of the Maryland State Orchestra,
Greater Baltimore Youth Orchestra, and the All-Eastern Orchestra.
